Heads of Parliament refuse invite from President Zeman over his past pro-Russian policies
The speakers of the upper and lower chambers of Parliament, Miloš Vystrčil and Markéta Pekarová Adamová have said they will not attend an award giving ceremony at Prague Castle, at which President Miloš Zeman will hand out high state distinctions to outstanding personalities and leaders in their field. The heads of the two houses of Parliament said they would not attend the ceremony in view of President Zeman’s past pro-Russian policies.
