Hamáček to discuss Russian explosion case with EU foreign ministers
The acting Czech minister of foreign affairs, Jan Hamáček, will on Monday discuss suspected Russian involvement in a 2014 explosion at a Czech munitions depot at a meeting of European Union foreign ministers.
Mr. Hamáček said that the Czech Republic’s envoys to the European Union and NATO had been instructed to inform those organisations about the case.
On Saturday the Prague government said security services had evidence Russian intelligence agents were involved in a massive explosion at a Czech munitions depot and gave 18 Russian Embassy staff identified as spies 48 hours to leave the country.
On Wednesday Jakub Kulhánek will be installed as new Czech foreign minister.
