Govt. delays decision on vehicles requiring third-party insurance
The Czech government has postponed a decision on extending the range of vehicles for which third-party insurance will be required, Finance Minister Zbyněk Stanjura said on Thursday. He said it was still necessary to clarify the position of vehicles belonging to the armed forces and fire service, which should be exempted from having to pay such insurance.
Mr. Stanjura said the government would return to the draft in the next two weeks. The bill is based on a European directive and should be effective from the end of the year.
