Government’s human rights commissioner to discuss cooperation with future First Lady

The government’s human rights commissioner, Klára Šimáčková Laurenčíková, has said she will meet with the future First Lady, Eva Pavlova to discuss possible areas of cooperation in the coming years. Ms. Pavlova is already devoting herself to charity and has expressed an interest in highlighting gender issues and the problems of single parents in particular. In an interview for Novinky.cz Šimáčková Laurenčíková said they would also discuss the results of the UN review of the human rights situation in Czechia, according to which the country still needs to improve on issues such as Roma segregation and the adoption of the Istanbul Convention.
