Government ministers visiting villages devastated by 2021 tornado

A team of government ministers led by Prime Minister Petr Fiala are visiting the seven south Moravian villages devastated by a tornado last year to see the reconstruction work and talk to the locals about any further need of assistance. The government delegation includes Minister for Regional Development Ivan Bartoš, Minister of Industry and Trade Jozef Síkela and Minister of the Environment Anna Hubáčková . The tornado tore through seven villages last June killing six people and injuring over 150. It damaged 1,200 houses, of which over 60 had to be torn down, destroyed hundreds of cars and damaged roads, forests and infrastructure. The disaster elicited unprecedented solidarity with public collections raising millions of crowns in support of the affected area.
