Government to discuss January pension hikes
The government will discuss a regulation on the January indexation of old-age, disability, and survivors’ pensions on Wednesday. According to the proposal, pensions will increase by 240 crowns, and for most recipients, the merit-based percentage component will also rise by 2.6 percent. The average old-age pension should thus increase by 668 crowns to 21,786 crowns. The cabinet will also consider a regulation that, among other things, tightens the rules for recognizing COVID-19 as an occupational disease.
