Government and opposition parties agree on pandemics law
The government and opposition parties have agreed on the law on pandemics, allowing for special measures aimed at dealing with the Covid-19 situation, Civic Democrat leader Petr Fiala said on Thursday.
The opposition parties insisted that the new legislation include compensations for those hit by the Covid situation.
The law on pandemics should provide a means of handling the coronavirus crisis once the state of emergency expires. Under the proposed legislation, the Ministry of Health would be able to impose most of the restrictions now in place, with the exception of restricting freedom of movement.
