Google turns off display of Czech news snippets

Google has turned off the display of snippets from Czech news websites in its search results, Deník N reported on Thursday. The news site said that according to Google, this is in reaction to the copyright law amendment that the Czech parliament passed recently. The amendment means that tech giants such as Google, Twitter and Facebook have to obtain a licence from media outlets in order to be able to use their articles commercially.
