Germany adds Czechia on list of high-risk countries
Germany has added the Czech Republic on a list of high-risk coronavirus states. As of Sunday, Czech citizens travelling to Germany will have to produce a negative test on the border, whereas now they can undergo a test on German soil.
Cross-border workers between the two countries will have to be regularly tested for coronavirus. While Saxony will require two compulsory coronavirus tests per week, cross-border workers in Bavaria will have to produce negative Covid test every 48 hours.
The new category of "high risk" states, which Germany introduced a week ago, are states with dangerous new mutations of the coronavirus or over 200 new cases of the virus per 100,000 inhabitants detected in the course of a week.
