German president for EU accession anniversary conference in Prague

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier will speak at a conference at Prague Castle on April 30 marking the 20th anniversary of Czech accession to the European Union. The information was released by the Czech Office of the President on Wednesday.

Mr. Steinmeier and the Czech head of state, Petr Pavel, will deliver the keynote addresses at the event.

Czechia became a member of the EU on May 1, 2004.
