Gangs in UK using Czech-made sub-machine guns
Czech-made Skorpion sub-machine guns have repeatedly been used in shootings by gangs in Great Britain whose members are willing to use guns to 'settle even minor disputes', the Daily Mail reported citing police sources. As many as 120 gangs are reported to be operating around Merseyside and as many as eight Skorpion sub-machine guns are now believed to be in circulation around Liverpool. They are believed to have been smuggled into the country from Europe. Over 200,000 Skorpion sub-machine guns were produced in the Uherský Brod arms factory from 1963 to 1979.
