Freight trains collide in Zlín region, damage estimated at CZK 31.1 mn

Two freight trains collided early on Friday morning outside the town of Otrokovice, in the Zlín region, along of the country’s main railway corridors. Two carriages of one train derailed, causing damage of some 31.1 million crowns.

The Railway Inspectorate has yet to determine the cause of the accident, which has disrupted service between the Tlumačov and Otrokovice stations. The route will be served by buses at least until Friday afternoon.
