Free antigen Covid testing gets underway in Czechia
Free antigen testing for Covid-19 got underway in the Czech Republic on Wednesday. The free Covid testing is being conducted at around 2,000 sites, including existing testing centres and doctors’ surgeries.
The testing was originally due to start on Friday, but due to large interest from the public, the government decided to bring the start forward by two days in order to accommodate as many people as possible.
The scheme is due to run until January 15 and people will be allowed to undergo one test in a five-day period. Thousands of people have already signed up and most of the vacancies have been filled until Christmas.
