France awards Czech Army chief Řehka the National Order of Merit

France has awarded Chief of the General Staff Karel Řehka the National Order of Merit with the rank of Commander. The decoration was presented to the head of the Czech Army by the French ambassador to the Czech Republic, Stéphane Crouzat.

According to the embassy, Řehka, as Chief of the General Staff over the past four years, promoted the development of French-Czech military relations, participated in strategic dialogue, and supported industrial cooperation.

“Thanks to him, during his four years as Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Army, our exchanges multiplied and helped strengthen the bridge between our two countries,” the embassy added.
