Founder of the Prague Writers Festival Michael March dies at 78

American poet Michael March, founder and longtime president of the Prague Writers Festival, died on Sunday at the age of 78. A writer, poet and columnist, March lived in Prague since 1996, where, among other things, he helped revive the tradition of author readings after the Velvet Revolution. Through personal contacts, he brought eleven Nobel Prize winners for literature to the Prague Writers' Festival, the last edition of which was held in 2020.
