Former MP Dominik Feri files constitutional complaint in rape case

Dominik Feri, the former MP and vice-chairman of the TOP 09 parliamentary club, has filed a constitutional complaint in the rape case of two girls and another attempted rape, Constitutional Court spokeswoman Kamila Abbasi has reported. The complaint is directed against the decision of the Supreme Court, which rejected Mr. Feri's appeal last December.

Mr. Feri, who became the youngest MP in Czech history at the age of 21, is currently serving a three-year prison sentence. He began serving his sentence at the end of May last year, but has denied any guilt and questioned the credibility of the victims. In his appeal to the Supreme Court, he also raised a number of objections that related to various aspects of the protocol and procedure of his case.
