Former MP charged in hospital fraud case
Police have proposed filing charges of fraud against six people and two companies in the case of a CZK 160 million contract for the purchase of linear accelerators for Prague’s Bulovka University Hospital. Among those charged are former Civic Democratic Party MP Marek Šnajdr and the hospital’s former director Andrea Vrbovská. Investigators suspect Šnajdr of accepting a bribe to ensure that a particular company wins the tender for the linear accelerators.
