Foreign ministry sending aid to ethnic Czechs in earthquake-hit Croatia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will provide 300,000 crowns to help ethnic Czechs living in Croatia, which was hit by a 6.2 magnitude earthquake in December 2020. The government proposes handing over the gift to the Union of Czechs in the Republic of Croatia, which is based in Daruvar.

The aim is to help families cover the necessary costs of renovating damaged houses and other basic needs. The Ministry will provide the money from its budget. The Czech government earlier sent some 5 million crowns worth of equipment to Croatia, including tents and sleeping bags.
