Foreign Ministry to send team to assist Czechs affected by Rhodes wildfires

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will send two members of a special consular team to Greece to assist Czech tourists on the Greek island of Rhodes, where wildfires forced thousands of people, including hundreds of Czech tourists, to be evacuated on Saturday. Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský announced this on Twitter after a meeting with travel agencies on Sunday morning. The ministry is also setting up a hotline for inquiries related to the fires and asked all Czech citizens in Greece to register in the DROZD system. According to the Czech ambassador in Greece, there have so far not been any reports of Czechs being injured in the fires.
