Foreign Ministry ready to assist Czech national on Gaza flotilla
The Czech Embassy in Tel Aviv is prepared to provide consular assistance to the Czech national who was detained on a flotilla carrying aid to Gaza, the Foreign Ministry said Thursday. Ministry spokesman Daniel Drake confirmed that Israeli authorities had informed Prague about the detained person. Swiss group Waves Of Freedom shared a video on X featuring Czech activist Šárka Přikrylová, who appealed to the Czech government to bring her home. Overnight, the Israeli military intercepted more than forty vessels attempting to break the blockade of Gaza and deliver humanitarian aid. Several activists were detained and are being transported to Israel, from where they will be deported to Europe, the Israeli foreign ministry reported. Přikrylová was on board one of the seized vessels.
