Foreign Minister Petříček to visit Middle East and Africa by end of 2020

Czech Foreign Minister Tomáš Petříček plans to undertake trade missions to the Middle East and North Africa by the end of the year.

Speaking at the Czech Export Forum on Wednesday, Mr Petříček said business trips should also take place to European countries, such as France, Portugal and Kosovo.

Most of the planned trade missions this year had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and should be resumed in autumn, if the situation allows.

According to the Czech Association of Exporters, Czech exports can drop by CZK 500 billion as a result of the Covid-19 crisis.
