Foreign Minister Lipavský to end his membership in Pirate Party

Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský has requested to end his membership in the Pirate Party and confirmed that he will submit his resignation as foreign minister to Prime Minister Petr Fiala. He made the announcement to his former party colleagues via an online forum on Tuesday.

Lipavský acknowledged the decision by the party’s members to exit the government, but expressed his disagreement with the Pirates' move to the opposition, stating that he has differing views on certain issues within the party.

Prime Minister Fiala mentioned on Monday that he would consider keeping Lipavský in the cabinet as an independent minister, should all four parties in the ruling coalition agree.
