Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský to attend informal NATO meeting in Berlin
Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský will attend a two-day informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Berlin at the weekend. The debate will focus on the repercussion of the Russian war in Ukraine and the worsened security situation. The foreign ministers of Sweden and Finland, which may soon apply to join NATO, have also been invited to the German capital. Turkey is not in favour of the two Nordic countries joining NATO and Ankara’s opposition would block the accession process. A joint working dinner is on the agenda.
