Foreign Affairs Committee describes Russian regime as “terrorist”

The Foreign Affairs Committee of the Czech lower house described the current Russian regime as terrorist. In a resolution passed on Thursday, the committee condemned the large-scale attacks on Ukrainian civilians and key infrastructure and refused to recognise the referendums on annexation of the four Ukrainian regions to Russia.

The Committee also supported the efforts of Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský to establish a special tribunal to prosecute war crimes committed in Ukraine, as well as an investigation by the International Criminal Court that would lead to the prosecution of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
