Football: Vladimír Coufal signs new contract with West Ham United

The Czech Republic’s defender Vladimír Coufal has signed a new contract with West Ham United, the Athletic wrote on Saturday. According to the sports news website, the 29-year-old Czech right-back has agreed a three-year deal with an option for a further year.

Coufal was signed from Slavia Prague for £5.4 million before the 2020-21 season. Alongside his Czech teammate Tomáš Souček, he has made a very successful impact at West Ham.
