Football: Sparta Prague fined for fans’ racist comments

The football club Sparta Prague must pay a fine of 75,000 crowns for racist actions by its fans during a match against Viktoria Pilsen on September 11.

A referee interrupted the Sparta-Pilsen game for several minutes at the start of the second half due to racist abuse from Sparta fans against Colombian-born midfielder Jhon Mosquera.

The Pilsen club was fined 30,000 crowns for the use of pyrotechnics in the stadium and inappropriate behaviour of some spectators.
