Football: Czechs lose to Belgium in World Cup qualifier, still second in Group E
The Czech national football team lost their fifth World Cup qualification match to Belgium 0:3 and along with it any real hope of placing first place in their group and guaranteeing a spot in the championship.
Sunday’s match consolidated Belgium’s position as leaders in Group E as they moved to 13 points from 5 games, and 6 points clear of the second-placed Czechs.
Belgium’s Romel Lukaku marked his100th cap with early goal and Eden Hazard also scored in the first half. Alexis Saelemaekers added the third after the change of sides.
