Football: Czechs face Belarus in Russia for penultimate World Cup qualifier match
The Czech football team face Belarus on Monday evening for the penultimate of eight World Cup qualifiers.
After last Friday’s home draw 2: 2 with Wales, the Czech team needs a win in Group E in order to have a chance at second place and competing the playoffs for the championship.
Monday’s match will take place in neutral Russia as European airlines have banned flights to Belarus as part of sanctions. It will also be played without spectators.
