Food banks running out of supplies

Food banks in the Czech Republic have warned that due to the coronavirus pandemic they will run out of supplies within two to three weeks.

The situation is reported to be worst in Prague and the northern regions, where an increasing number of people are asking for help in securing basic food supplies.

Food bank officials are hoping that the autumn collection of non-perishable goods will help restock their warehouses.

The collection is planned for November 21, and people can also donate products bought online.
