FM Lipavský: Czech Ammunition Initiative gets more funding

The Czech Ammunition Initiative has secured additional financial resources from Canada, Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands. Deliveries of artillery ammunition could continue until September, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský told reporters on Thursday at NATO headquarters in Brussels, where a two-day meeting of the Alliance's foreign ministers is beginning.

Last year, Czechia facilitated the delivery of around 1.5 million pieces of artillery ammunition of various calibers to Ukraine. Several allied countries have joined the Czech ammunition initiative.

According to the foreign minister, the initiative helped reduce Russia's artillery superiority on the battlefield by 500 percent.
