Flood warning still in place in western Bohemia

The flood warning issued by the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute on Friday is still in force in several places in the Plzeň. Domažlice and Klatovy regions on Sunday. However, water levels are expected to gradually recede.

Rivers and streams in western Bohemia reached flood levels due to heavy rains on Friday and Saturday, even reaching the highest, third-level degree in several places.

Firefighters responded to over 300 emergencies on Saturday due to heavy rain. They were called mainly to drain water from flooded cellars and remove fallen trees.
