First ship carrying gas arrives at Dutch LNG terminal rented by Czechia
The first ship carrying liquefied natural gas (LNG) for Czechia has arrived at the Dutch port of Eemshaven and is getting ready to lay anchor, ČEZ spokesman Roman Gazdík told the Czech News Agency on Monday. The ship arrived from the United States and carries 100 million cubic metres of gas, Mr Gazdík said. It is the first of eight shipments planned for this year.
Czechia has rented part of the terminal in Eemshaven and it is expected that the LNG supplied through the facility will be sufficient to cover up to a third of the country’s annual gas requirements.
