First classes for Ukrainian refugee children begin in Prague
The first classes for children whose families have fled from the war in Ukraine began at a school in Prague on Monday. The First Slavic Grammar School has started five classes for a total of 100 children. It is one of around 20 schools in Prague and Brno that have to date signed up for the project Ukrainian One-Class Schools, which is co-organised by the country’s embassy in Prague.
The minister of education, Petr Gazdík, said that around 100,000 Ukrainian children could be integrated into regular Czech schools.
