Firefighters contain blaze at industrial hall in Olomouc region
Firefighters battled overnight to contain a large-scale fire that engulfed an industrial hall in Přestavlky, in the Olomouc Region, where plastic and wood waste caught fire on Saturday. The blaze, which sent thick black smoke billowing across several kilometers, destroyed much of the 15-by-50-meter structure. A significant portion of the roof collapsed due to the intense heat. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The estimated damage has risen to CZK 19 million, according to fire service spokesman Zdeněk Hošák.
