Fire ravaging parts of Bohemian Switzerland national park
The fire in the Bohemian Switzerland national park is reported to be spreading fast due to a strong wind. It has now destroyed over ten hectares of forest land in the vicinity of Hřensko in the Dečín region and started spreading to neighbouring Germany. Forty nine firefighter units, three of them from neighbouring Germany, are presently fighting the blaze which is now moving towards the Pravčická brána rock formation, one of the park's main tourist attractions. More than 200 people have been evacuated from the area. Environment Minister Anna Hubáčkova is attending a crisis meeting on site. No one has been reported injured.
