Film: Karlovy Vary fest wraps on Saturday night

The 55th Karlovy Vary Film Festival wraps up on Saturday evening with the unveiling of the winning films. The President’s Award will go to both American actor Ethan Hawke and Czech director Jan Svěrák.

This year’s A-list festival was postponed from early July to late August to allow more people to get vaccinated against Covid-19 and attend screenings. The closing ceremony will be broadcast by Czech Television.
