Film about Franz Kafka premiers at Toronto International Film Festival
The 50th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) kicks off in Canada on Thursday. Often seen as a launchpad for future Oscar winners, TIFF is the largest film showcase in North America. This year’s world premieres include films starring Hollywood names like Russell Crowe, Angelina Jolie, and Sydney Sweeney. Audiences can also look forward to works by directors such as Guillermo del Toro and Park Chan-wook. Making its debut at the festival is the Czech-German-Polish film Franz about writer Franz Kafka, directed by Agnieszka Holland.
