Fiala speaks at opening of Czech-Kenyan business forum

The Czech prime minister, Petr Fiala, spoke at the opening of a Czech-Kenyan business forum in the Kenyan capital Nairobi on Monday. Continuing a weeklong visit to sub-Saharan Africa, he discussed the possible deepening of cooperation between his country and Kenya in the defense sector. He also said Czechia could help stabilise Kenya’s energy infrastructure.

Mr. Fiala also spoke about possible cooperation in healthcare and agriculture, as well as the opportunity to establish new contacts in the fields of information technology and space research.

The forum was attended by representatives of nearly two dozen Czech firms and over 70 Kenyan companies.
