Fiala: Czech school system ready to take in Ukrainian children

The Czech school system is well prepared for absorbing the new cohort of Ukrainian refugees and the quality of teaching to Czech students will not suffer from it, Prime Minister Petr Fiala said on Tuesday after meeting with Education Minister Vladimír Balaš.

The ministry is currently preparing a campaign that will seek to boost interest among Ukrainian refugee children to study at Czech high schools. Thus far the number of Ukrainian children registered for the upcoming school year has been significantly lower than was estimated based off the number of refugees that arrived in the country.
