Experts report record Covid load in Prague wastewater

Data from the Prague sewerage system show that there is an extremely high load of Covid-19 in the population. According to experts from the Institute of Water and Environmental Technology, who are in charge of the monitoring, the incidence of Covid among the city’s inhabitants has reached a record level and is twice higher that it was at the height of the pandemic. The number of confirmed infections is now reported to be at around 2,000 positive cases daily. Although the number of people hospitalized with Covid is slowly increasing, the number of people who require intensive care remains low.
