European Court backs CR over compulsory pre-school vaccinations
The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg has backed the Czech Republic over its demand for pre-school vaccinations, rejecting cases taken by Czech parents who said the requirement breached their private lives.
In a landmark ruling, the court said the Czech Republic’s measures could be seen as being necessary in a democratic society, saying that every child should be protected against serious diseases via vaccination or thanks to herd immunity. The six cases were launched prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.
