Euro 2020: Patrick Schick’s stunning effort named Goal of the Tournament

Patrik Schick's sensational long-range strike for the Czech Republic against Scotland on the first day of EURO 2020 has been named Goal of the Tournament.

Having already given the Czech team a first-half lead, Schick doubled his tally with a stunning goal from the halfway line after spotting Scotland goalkeeper David Marshall far off his line.

At 45.45 meters, the Bayer Leverkusen striker's effort was officially the furthest recorded distance from which a goal was scored at the Euros. According to UEFA, Schick's goal received nearly 800,000 votes.
