EU ministers to meet Covid vaccine producers in Prague

A meeting of European Union health ministers in Prague next Wednesday will also be attended by producers of the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna Covid-19 vaccines. The Czech Ministry of Health said it expected that existing vaccine contracts with the drug companies would be revised during the talks.

The EU health chiefs are also expected to discuss the fight against cancer and other serious diseases as well as patient access to medicines.

Czechia currently holds the revolving presidency of the EU.
