The EU has allocated 75% of Czech subsidies for 2021–2027
The European Union has so far allocated 75% of the subsidies set aside for the Czech Republic for the 2021–2027 period, the Ministry for Regional Development said in a press release. Of the total CZK 512.4 billion (€20.1 bn), CZK 384 billion (€15.1 bn) has been assigned to specific projects, while CZK 172 billion (€6.7 bn) has been fully paid out. Claims worth a further CZK 131 billion (€5.1 bn) have been submitted to the European Commission.
Regional Development Minister Zuzana Mrázová (ANO) said that funding for regional development is being successfully channelled into projects across the country. She added that the figures show the system is working and that the Czech Republic is meeting EU spending limits without returning funds to Brussels.
