Energy price regulations will start being active from second half of 2022, according to state agency

Regulations on prices from electricity distributors, which are part of the recently approved Energy Act amendment, will start being active from the second half of 2022, the spokesman of the Czech Energy Regulatory Office (ERÚ) Michal Kebort informed the Czech News Agency on Sunday.

The (ERÚ) is currently preparing the necessary registration system into which distributors, who want to continue with their business, will have to register from July 1 to September 30.

The amendment to the Czech Energy Act was passed in order to provide greater protections for customers on the energy market amid a surge in prices.
