The first Czech female racer who in 1928 drove her Bugatti in one of the most demanding car races in the world, the Sicilian Targa Florio, where she finished fifth. After the tragic death of her husband, car racer Čeněk Junek, she no longer actively raced but participated in organizing motor sports, for example, the construction of the Masaryk Circuit in Brno.
The illustrated project Czech Heroines was inspired by the centenary of voting rights for Czech women and the 200th anniversary of the birth of the prominent Czech writer Božena Němcová. It is a joint project by the Czech Centres, the Faculty of Design and Art at the University of West Bohemia and Radio Prague International.
