Education Ministry updates face mask rules for schools
The Ministry of Education has sent an updated version of its manual on how to cope with the risk of the COVID-19 coronavirus, with new information that includes the scrapping of the compulsory face mask wearing rule in favour of a “traffic-light” system, similar to that seen used by countries when foreign travel is concerned. Schools will newly have to order the wearing of face masks when their respective district is highlighted as orange — a state of alertness.
Initially presented last week by Education Minister Robert Plaga, the manual is a document containing rules and recommendations to be used during the upcoming academic year, which starts on September 1.
