Education minister planning radical reform of Czech education system
The new education minister, Petr Gazdik, has announced a radical reform of the Czech education system. Minister Gazdik said that the decades old system based on memorization of texts was outdated and would be replaced by a system focussed on pupil’s ability to find, verify and use information. Mr. Gazdik said he planned a broad debate with experts and parents on the issue and wanted the reform plans finalized by next year.
