Economic growth down by 2.1 percent year-on-year

The gross domestic product decreased by 0.3%, quarter-on-quarter, in the Q1 2021. In the year-on-year comparison, it decreased by 2.1%. The negative year-on-year development of the GDP was influenced mainly by decreasing consumption of households. Employment increased by 0.2%, quarter-on-quarter. Compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year, it decreased by 1.6%.
