Dukovany nuclear plant ends scheduled shutdown of unit 4

The Dukovany nuclear power plant in South Moravia has ended its scheduled shutdown of unit 4 which started on June 3, and reconnected it to the grid in the early hours of Thursday morning. All four units are now back in operation. It should reach full performance by the end of the week, the Czech News Agency reports.

The planned shutdown was implemented in order to replace part of the fuel, carry out maintenance work, and to service and check the equipment. A further shutdown of unit 3 is scheduled to start in October.
